Colin graduated from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen in 1994 and qualified as an architect in 1995.
He worked in a general architectural practice, on commercial projects and then for a private house builder / developer. In 1999, Colin teamed up with Gokay Deveci and working together for over five years they were successful both in competition and practice. This is best illustrated in the RIBA award winning Achrannagï, an affordable housing tower in Rothesay, Bute.
In 2001 Colin took an opportunity to work and travel in Tasmania, where he was employed within a practice and taught part time in the Universities’ architecture studio.
In 2004, Colin relocated from Aberdeen to Inverness to join Neil Sutherland as a partner, seeking out new architectural opportunities within timber construction and building on his experience to date.
